Subject: The Local Board Clerkship
On Monday evening a meeting of the Pudsey Local Board was held
to investigate the accounts of the board, and to appoint a successor
to Mr. George Porritt, the late clerk. The number of candidates had
been reduced to four, three who were in attendance, namely: Mr. S. Webster,
of Fulneck; Mr. J.H. Lawson, of Pudsey; and Mr. H.H. Broadbent, of Leeds.
