This district covers High & Low Bishopside. All years available except 1881 & 1911. This district is usually covered by three Enumeration Districts. The first part covers the town of Pateley Bridge.

Description of coverage from the 1901 census:

 

Part 1

'Comprising part of the Township of High & Low Bishopside being all the houses and cottages in the town of Pateley Bridge, including the Corn Mill, Hawkridge House, Old Church Green, Cemetery, Northing, well House, Harefield House and cottages, Nidd Cottages also the Union house and vagrant ward.'

 

Part 2

''Comprising part of the Township of High & Low Bishopside on both sides of the road leading to Wath from Pateley Bridge including Wath, Yeadon, Laverack, Mount Pleasant, Wild Carr, Quarry Houses, Drayman's Field, Knott, Kiln Hill (on both sides of the road), Low Plain, the village of Glasshouses and Mill, Stock Plain, Dredging Box, Bank House'

 

Part 3

'Comprising part of the Township of High & Low Bishopside on both sides of the road from Pateley Bridge to Ripon and on both sides of the Road from The Birch Inn to Ripley consisting of Blazefield, the village of Wilsill, Raikes, Smelthouse, Kiln, Whitehouses, Cragghouses, Fellbeck House, Fellbeck.'
