Boundary being that part bounded on the West by Murgatroyds Cottages, on the South by Batesons Place, on the North by Canal Bridge, and on the East by Fountain Street.
Contents. Part of the township of Idle comprising all the dwelling houses in Briggate (North Side). Extending from Murgatroyds Cottages to Halls Cottages, at the end of Victoria Street including Brumfit Place, Whitaker's Buildings, Whiteheads Buildings and Parkers Buildings in Fountain Street, Leeds Road, Cornmill Cottage, Dixons Cottage, Canal Bank, Perseverance Mill, Lane Bottom, Bridge Street (South Side) between the Canal Bridge and the Low Well Bridge. All in the Parliamentary Division of Shipley.
