Foreign Coinage
Quite often coins from outside the Pannonian region turn up, of
which the commonest have been Venetian coins. These are very poor
and in the main unreadable.
Wallachian coins issued at Severin have also turned up. Again, these are poor
quality coins. One was found amongst a hoard of quartings of Sigismund,
which are from the same period, about 1430.
Later Ottoman coins from the occupation period of 1520-1670 are included here.
