In our early days we had a message board then a low-tech forum to allow our guests to submit information, ask questions and get in touch with each other. Unfortunatly, the easier a forum is to use, the easier it is to bombard it with spam and inappropriate messages, which is what happened. Now we have a serious PHP based forum, but that requires that any potential user becomes a member first. Our current members have an amazing range of local knowledge and few questions go unanswered.
