Subject: Election of the board of surveyors for the township of Pudsey
Yesterday afternoon a meeting of the rated inhabitants of the township
of Pudsey, was held in the town's committee room, Littlemoor, for the
purpose of electing a Board of Surveyors for the Highways, for the ensuing
year. Mr. J T Clarkson was called to the chair, and the following gentlemen
were elected surveyors:- Mr. James Banks, Chapeltown; Mr. George Webster
and Mr. Joseph Northrop, Church Lane; Mr. J Asquith Hinings and Mr.
Thompson Farrar, Lowtown; Mr. William Jackson, Mr George Spencer, and
Mr. B Troughton, Littlemoor; Mr. J Dawson, Fulneck; Mr. William Coates,
Fartown; Mr. Joseph Parker, Greenside; Mr. J T Clarkson, Smalewell;
Mr. R Womersley, Marsh; Mr. Thomas Whitham, Back Lane; Mr. Samuel Varley,
Stanningley.
