Subject: Old Manor House
The old manor house is situated at the top of Lowtown. It is of medieval
antiquity and bears on some parts, even now, the cross of the Knights
of St. John of Jerusalem. The old hall, as it is popularly designated,
is an extensive building, and it is occupied as seperate dwellings by
several families. It was the residence of the Milner family (former
Lords of the Manor), and bears on a prominet part the initial M. The
present owner is Frederick Stowe, of Westfield House Bramley.
