Subject: Pudsey Mechanics Institute Elections
The half- yearly general meeting of this institution was held in the
lecture room of the institution on Monday evening; the vice-president
Mr. Edward Walton in the chair...the new officers for the next half
year were elected as follows: Mr. Edward Walton was elected president;
Mr. William Wood, vice-president; Messrs. W. Dufton and Joshua Elmsley,
honorary secretaries; and Mr. J. Edward Hinings, treasurer; Messrs.
Joshua Webster, John Swift, Joseph Town, David Wilson, Joshua Sharp,
Samuel Driver and Henry Rayner directors.
