These fascinating records are the North Bierley Union "List of Persons in Receipt of Relief October 1894", taken from a booklet printed by Wm Downing, East Parade Printing Works, Leeds Road, Bradford. It is held at Bradford Central Library in their Pamphlets Collection ref B362.5NOR

It covers all the townships in the North Bierley Union i.e. Allerton, Calverley with Farsley, Clayton, Cleckheaton, Drighlington, Eccleshill, Heaton, Hunsworth, Idle, North Bierley, Pudsey, Shipley, Thornton, Tong, Wilsden and Wyke. Here we have reproduced those records for Calverley, Farsley, Drighlington, Idle, Pudsey, Tong and Windhill.
Within each township there are lists of those who have settlement within the township and receive relief (SP);
those who live within the township but do not have settlement there (NSP) – these people receive relief from their own union;
those who do not live within the township, but who have settlement there (NRP);
