Subject: Obituary
Our obituary of this day contains the notice of the death of
Mrs. Ward, wife of our townsman, the Rev. James Ward, who has laboured
for over 13 years as a Moravian missionary in Jamaica. She returned
with her husband and family last year to recruit her shattered health,
but died at Fulneck during a confinement.
We observe that the first stone of a new Independent Methodist Sunday
School, will be laid at Lowtown, Pudsey, on Monday next; and on Tuesday,
the first stone of a new Baptist chapel will be laid at Farsley.
