Subject: A Child Burnt to Death
A boy five years of age named William Henry Williamson, met with
his death on Friday morning, the 17th inst., from burning, at the house
of his grandparents at Littlemoor, Pudsey, with whom he and his father,
Alfred Williamson, a clogger, resided. The deceased had just got out
of bed and going too near the fire, his night-dress ignited and was
sonn on a blaze, and there being no one there in the room at that time,
he was badly burned before his cries brought anyone to extinguish the
fire. He was so badly hurt that he was removed to Leeds Infirmary, where
he died on the same day.
